Simple Nine Patch

This is my first ever fully finished quilt. After taking a class with my mom, I ended up with a finished Rail Fence quilt top, but with no one in mind to receive the quilt, I decided to start a new project (to the dismay of my first quilt top that, almost a year hence, lies unfinished still). My supervisor was having a baby in a few months and I thought that she would be a great recipient for my first quilt! I didn't know the sex of the baby (and I find the whole "pink is for girls, and blue is for boys" mentality a little too traditional for me) so I went for a more funky, gender-neutral quilt. You can probably see that I have no idea how to display a quilt ;)
