One-of-a-Kind Tee Shirt Quilt!

Every time I quilt I learn a lesson. My first tee shirt quilt taught me about stabilizers and cornerstones. My second quilt taught me that being "organic" and making a quilt without some kind of plan can cause unexpected issues! I couldn't believe how BIG this second tee shirt quilt ended up being! I simply wanted to "tell the story" of my great nephew Bobby's favorite player and it just got out of hand! Kevin Durant has done a lot in his career! I told his professional life from college, to the Olympics, to the pros (Supersonics and OKC!). Also, I was able to take some of his basketball league shirts from when he was a young kid and incorporate them into the quilt. While his brother Carl hangs his on his wall, Bobby refuses to use his quilt for any reason! Again, when it comes to embarking on unknown territory, lesson learned! I won't be making another one like it. 4 x 4 tee shirt quilts for me!
