Pinwheels for twin girls

This young lady’s mom Lelia and grandmother Gayle made a long trip to be with us during a stressful time when my daughter’s twins were born. I always appreciated the supporting visit before we lost one of our twins. When I heard Monday afternoon Lelia’s daughter was having her baby shower today, I went to work cutting piecing and then quilting both of them. I finished yesterday but still had to wrap so they didn’t get washed . I told Lelia they would need washing but I just ran out of time. I made them bigger and no ‘baby’ prints so the kids could grow with their quilts. Size is 48x63 The pinwheels are large. They are bigger than I usually make for babies but it helped me get them made in time for today. The same fabrics were used in both quilts for the pinwheels, just placed differently. The back are different. Just like the twins are the same but both will have their own personality. The quilts were appreciated and Lelia has told me and others that she still has her daughter Eudora’s smocked bonnet and dress I made when she was born. Now Eudora is having twins!
