My favorite lap quilt
I have a lot of WIPs and UFOs so sometimes I need to do something that I can get finished relatively quickly for instant gratification. Jenny Doan's Jelly Roll Race is a perfect kind of project for when I'm feeling that way. I made this quilt using one Jelly Roll. I joined the ends like a bias binding strip and with the scraps that I cut off I made tiny half-square triangles that I used on the back. I didn't do much quilting at all. I just used one of my machine's wavy quilt designs but I used a pretty gold metallic on front and a darker purple on back. This is my go-to quilt pattern when someone asks me for a lap quilt but they want it quickly.
