Batik Geese Crossing
I made this quilt for my niece, Julia, who is mad about peacocks. Rather than making her a peacock quilt, I made her a flying geese quilt in peacock-colored batiks on a black background. She loves it.

For My Mom
I made this quilt from Rachel Ashwell fabrics for my Mom's 86th Birthday. My Mom loves quilts but doesn't sew a stitch. It was the first full-size quilt I ever attempted and I was pretty scared working with all that expensive fabric. It turned out perfectly, my Mom loved it and I went on to make three more large quilts. I use a Husqvarna Lily 550 to quilt.

Falling Charms
I made this quilt for DGD 1. Her favorite color is pink- Hubba Hubba designed by Me & My Sister Designs for Moda was perfect. The background fabric is white with pink polka dots. Of course, I had to make a pillowcase and throw pillow.

Scrap Quilt
I wanted to make a scrap quilt. I cut all of the pieces that were not big enough to get a 10" square out of into 5" and 2 1/2" pieces. When I got done I realized that I had colors divided by brights and muteds. This is what I made from the brights. The pattern is Jelly Turnover from the Moda Bakeshop.

Stained Glass Beauty
My first quilting retreat at Needle in a Haystack - learned how to make this quilt. Of course I never follow anything 'exactly' so I tweaked it to make it my own. This was a bit tricky and I said a few bad words during the making of my quilt so I was afraid it had bad Karma (just joking) but I am very pleased with the outcome. The teacher was Joan Ford from Syracuse NY and we all had a lot of fun at the retreat. For the back of my quilt I used Tree of Life panel surrounded by borders which turned out very nicely. My only dismay was that my grandkids liked the BACK of the quilt better than the hard work on the FRONT!
