This quilt was a gift for my middle son and his wife. I saw something similar on a website and thought it would be fun to make in primary colors. I marked the quilting lines using different sized circular objects I found around the house.

My very first quilt

I have had this ambition to give a quilt to my niece, and my children a quilt to use when in college. I took the plunge when my niece graduated from High school. I bought a layer cake and proceeded to make this quilt. Unfortunately, her roommate misplaced this quilt at the end of her sophomore year, sine my neice gad to leave early for an emergency.

Sweet Baby Boy Quilt

This is for another Mom at church. Four down and five to go. That is until there is another new Mom to make a quilt for. Sweet pastel blues and greens with a touch of whimsy with the star fabric. The yellow quilting makes for a great contrast with the swirls and stars. I used a Robert Kaufman flannel that I prewashed for the backing and I also made two burp cloths with left over fabrics. This X's & O's is a fun and quick pattern.

For my folks

My parents have birthdays only 4 days apart and I decided last minute to make them a thin quilt to brighten their bedroom. I stole the pattern from a charity that I make quilts for. This pattern is a simple one and could be done with any size square. I used 7" squares, 7"x3.5" strips, and 3.5" squares. I sewed a strip to one side of the big square and sewed a little square to the end of another strip, then stitched the two halves together. The key to this block is how the quilt is laid out. It must be staggered in a particular way. See the diagram below.
