This fun quilt is for a special friends first grandchild. The fabric is all from my stash and the start was a panel that I have had for some time. Inspired by the Exploding Block tutorial I cut the panel apart and "exploded' the blocks twice. Lots of fun to make and the flannel back will make it snugly.

Journey

A friend who is having some "growing pains" professionally, needed something to help remind her that she has people who believe in her abilities. I hope she wraps up in this when she needs to feel supported and loved. Her favorite colors are red and white. I chose this pattern to remind her that she started the journey at the bottom and continues to move up, the through twists and turns of life!

I found out a friend's son had got married 3.5 years ago, 3 months ago. I wanted to make them a quilt, but it had to be simple as they were only going to be back in the country for a month. It's definitely not my colours but it was theirs and they loved it.

Aviary Quilt

I love these colors, my entire house could be these shades of purple and green and I would be fine! This quilt was an experiment, I sewed very carefully and pressed by seams open. Is a very nice quilt, nice and square and straight. lesson learned

Persimmon Stars

I love the colors in the Basic Grey Persimmon collection. Finally found a pattern I liked after using up several 5" charms. Good thing I had 3 or 4 packs of them. This is the first quilt I have tried Free Motion Quilting on. All other tests were smaller. I'm quite pleased with how it all came together.

Wedding Quilt

I made this quilt for my cousin's wedding. I tried to stipple it on my home sewing machine stippling but I think I will call mine squiggles. At least it's quilted! I included two photos of the couple -one from their wedding day and the other was an engagement photo. I used my EQ7 to help me with sizing of the blocks (which are 25").

Ginny Beyers Moonglow

"Frozen" Panel Quilt

Our grand daughter loves the movie Frozen and so I was at a yard sale and found this panel for a buck! I have never done a panel quilt before, it feels like I am cheating by not doing more work! lol But she loves it and it made her happy and that warms my heart.
