Thank You For Your Service
This is an Honor Quilt that I designed using EQ7.
I wanted to have a lot of varied block types and sizes in this quilt to make this quilt very interesting and offer many forms of quilting. I also wanted to make sure I had plenty of center space to do what I love best - free motion quilting. I digitized the lettering on the scroll below the eagle stitched it out on my Brother Quattro embroidery machine.
This quilt, which will be donated to a deserving unknown veteran at Walter Reed Hospital, measures 72" x 86" and was quilted on my Baby Lock Tiara.
The center United States Seal is all trapunto work under the eagle, olive branches, arrows, scroll and stars. It was painted after the entire quilt was completed and laundered using paints by Jacquard.
This was definitely a labor of love!
