It is made from Amy Butler fabrics, which I collected for a while. I don't remember what pattern it is, but it was a lot of fun and pretty easy. By AngieB 4 LIKES | 1064 VIEWS First Quilt, not quite what I visioned. A year and one/half ago I was not a quilter. Saw a quilt though that I had to have and that was the start of it all. It is somewhat of a sorry mess, but still a great cover-up on the couch. Since then I have made twelve more quilts, each time getting better. Love batiks but have now started to move into other fabrics too. By Jan 9 LIKES | 1602 VIEWS Wonky Stars For my 50th birthday, a quilter freind gave me 50 fat quarters, all red and white. She said I needed to change my green, purple, blue path! By Tutunis 11 LIKES | 1228 VIEWS HST Star Quilt This is a pattern from Laundry Basket Quilts. A friend and I agreed on civil war prints and each made half of the HSTs. So it was a big surprise taking out all of her blocks and seeing what colors she chose. I tried to chose quilting designs that would accent the star. I did microstipeling on the background, and quilted the star in straight lines accenting the angles. The applique is raw egde finished with a zig zag stitch in clear thread. This was a ton of fun and very rewarding. I have it hanging up in my living room. Friendship star, also called ribbon star or lattice star. Usually you see the "ribbons" completed around the edges, but I chose to have the pattern just float off the edge. There are 750 6" blocks. I decided about 1/4 of the way through that I should have made bigger blocks. It's hanging in my hall. By PeggyStuart 9 LIKES | 1350 VIEWS Moda Building Blocks This is my first pieced quilt! By QuiltyGal 21 LIKES | 1462 VIEWS Aviatrix quilt Loved all the different blocks that went into this. I loved choosing similar colors to the original pattern but going with some prints and batiks instead of all solids.
