My sister lived in Russia for 18 months. I saw this fabric and HAD to make it for her. It is a little wonky and jagged, just like her. I had it quilted in a jagged pattern that made a beautiful pattern over the blocks.

Good Night Irene

I had bought a couple really nice Fat Quarter Bundles and I had no idea what to do with the fabric. I had been looking for a pattern when I got my new Block edition in the mail. There was a quilt that was called "Good night Irene". That's what my Father-in-law used to sing to my girls when they were little! PERFECT! So I used the pattern for this bundle and I love it!

So I deceided to make him and mom a quilt to keep in the car for cold nights or times they wanted to soften their backsides, have a picnic whatever. quilt is finished and it has never let his bed as he took it over that evening and told me "he loved it"

Wedding Quilt for friends

i have a dear friend who's daughter will marry in August. They are lovers of nature so I thought a Bear Paw quilt was appropriate. I googled "Images" online and found this design. It is an easy layout to copy. I used scraps and stash in the colors the bride and groom are using in their home based on an image of a rug that is in their house. The bride's mom said the colors in the rug are carried throughout their home. This quilt is probably about twin-size. The Bear Paw block measures 10" finished.

Custom HST Twin Quilt

My customer's choice of half-square triangles with bright fabrics was perfect! This quilt is in memory of my customer's daughter who passed away two years ago. She was a paramedic who loved children, as testified by the fun prints on her scrubs. The daughter loved word finds, and my customer found the perfect backing in this Cotton + Steel print! It has words like "CUTIE PIE" and "I LOVE YOU". The word find fabric is the perfect weight for backing, and the letters were super easy to line up when I pieced the backing, something that can be near impossible on lesser-quality fabrics. Another thing I really like about this fabric is the letters are printed both directions, normal and upside down, which means the fabric isn't directional and can be sewed together either way. The word find fabric also comes in navy and bright pink. This is the first time I have purchased a Cotton + Steel fabric, can you believe it? It also has the cutest selvage I have ever seen! Mostly Morse

This quilt was a quilt kit picked up on our 2014 summer road trip through Paducah, Kentucky... Of course I visited the renowned Hancocks of Paducah. The best way to convince my husband that I "needed" a quilt kit was to pick one of his own heart. As an amateur radio operator, who could possible say no to a pattern called "Morse Code"? I finished piecing this for my husband on Field Day weekend this summer (2015) when lots of Ham's around the country are flexing the radio frequency bands. Consider this my CQ.. CQ. It doesn't say much, E, A, ?, !... maybe I just left the rest unsaid. The piecing is great for 2 1/2" Jelly roll strips. These were Tonga Treats Batiks. I quilted it using a pattern called "Funky Fans".

I made this quilt for my oldest granddaughter's 25th birthday which is September 17. I call Shay my "angel" because she healed me from long years of heartache from giving a daughter up for adoption when she was born. When I saw that beautiful baby (Shay), the hole in my heart closed up and I felt whole again...after 30 years! Shay is tall, blonde, gray eyed, and beautiful. I love her with all my heart, just as I do all my grandchildren, but Shay began the healing process. I made up the pattern for this quilt. Because I was so new at quilting when I began this quilt, I started with a pattern, but as it went along and I made so many mistakes, it gradually took on a life of its own. I can't say this resembles the pattern I started out with at all.
