Busy blankets for patients who need something to keep their hands busy. Another way to pay it forward one random act of kindness at a time!

Last month, my father-in-law died. He was a wonderful family man, who loved nothing more than his grandchildren. He would have enjoyed having them all with him 24/7! We were clearing out his closet and as we looked at all of his beautifully laundered and pressed dress shirts, I was inspired. I have now begun making his shirts into stars for each of the grandchildren. We will stretch them onto frames for hanging and they can each have a forever memory of a shirt or two or three that they remember Grandpa wearing. Here are the first three. Many more to go. It has become very therapeutic. :) I used my sewing machine to embroider "Grandpa's Star" on each one. The kids were all, each of them, a star to him.
