Crazy Quilt Toddler Style

My son saw me working on a crazy quilt -- he was about four or five at the time, now nine. He asked me to make one for him, so I let him pick out most of the fabrics (I threw in a few solid or semi solids ones in for good measure). He even picked out some of the embellishments he wanted. Since I was making this quilt for a young child, I didn't want to add buttons, beads, and other small things that could become a choking hazard, so I embroidered the entire quilt, piecing it by hand, and tying it to finish.
