Jellyroll Race

I made this jellyroll race quilt for my husband as a Christmas gift. The things I remember most about this quilt though was that I got the flu and didn't get it finished in time to put under the tree on Christmas Eve. We put our children to bed so Santa could make his appearance and went to my sewing room to try and finish it. As I was intently trying to finish the FMQing, I was startled by my son who was about six at the time, who said in a sleepy voice, "mom, what are you doing.... Santa won't come until you go to bed.". After I tucked him back in bed with the promise I would go to bed, I took the quilt off my machine, wrapped it up with a note to finish it later, and went to bed. I finished it up soon after.
