X's and O's baby quilt

Per usual I bought a LOT of this fabric and was just finishing up this quilt when our great-nephew was born in Minnesota December 17th. I thought this was a wonderful way to mark his birth in winter, Minnesota, and very boyish. I often shy away from baby quilts that are too juvenile as I daydream about baby becoming very attached and same quilt sitting on the bed of their dorm room some day. I also pieced the backing using up leftover fabric. Because of the scenery, I kind of like the way it turned out.
