Aquarius

I get inspiration from all sorts of things. Recently it led we to try to create the Aquarius Constellation. First try the stars where way to big, The next day I made stars using .75 wide pieces of fabric! Boy was that a challenge. But now, the constellation fit the size restrictions. I wanted it to have a cool look so I used all sorts of blue Batik scraps and any of my black leftovers. After placing the stars I started cutting the black pieces to connect it all together. Again, I was using any black I had so you will see some areas that have a different sheen to them. I was hoping that it would sort of look like the night sky, with the different light intensities you see in the darkness.
