I am a retired teacher, wife, mother, grandmother, cancer surviving long-arm quilter, from Selah, WA. I have been quilting for...hmmm not sure...25, 30 years. I use a sit down set-up with an 18 inch TinLizzie long-arm machine for my quilting. I’m not tied to fabric lines when designing a quilt, I’m looking for fabrics that will move the vision of the quilt to reality. Quilt size isn’t a barrier, California King to a table topper. Practice, practice, practice your quilting designs. I make a lot of lap size quilts from my stash to practice the designs I want to use on my next project. The muscle memory is so important. These are then donated to nursing homes. Many of my projects are original designs and patterns are available. j.a.g.ustafson@outlook.com.
