Christmas Quilt
Last year two quilting friends and my Mom went on a quilt shop safari with a Jenny Doan trunk show as the gift at the end. We hit 4 quilt shops on our way to pick up my Mom. Another 3 on the way to the show. The show was fabulous (we even made into one of the pictures they posted). Had a nice evening and the next day hit 5 or six shops on our way back to my Mom’s. I finally bought something big at the last shop this day. It was a kit to make this Christmas quilt. It was behind her counter all folded up waiting for its binding but it still caught my eye. (The rest of the safari story is after spending the night at my Mom’s we hit one more quilt store on the way home. Bringing our total to about 14 shops and about 800 miles round trip in 3 days). I did a free-motion berry and holly leaves meander with curls thrown in every now and then. Oh, and it is the Peppermint Bark pattern.
