Disappearing Four Patch Symphony

My local quilt shop offered a precuts class featuring Jenny Doan's Disappearing Four Patch from Block Magazine. It is versatile and eye-catching as many quilters have used it successfully on this website. I had been wanting to make a quilt for one of my family's musicians. I found fabrics which showcased musical themes along with charm squares from the Dwellings Townhouse collection by Michele D'Amore, Selecting design elements without the floral patterns and with a more masculine theme were a challenge. I filled in some of the solid, light squares with decorative stitches or free motioned motifs, then edge to edge stitching using the embroidery hoop. In the end, it came together like a melody.
