Dresden Rock My World

Missouri Star Spring Dresden Flower Pot design and tutorial is a perfect applique project all done on the sewing machine. This was my first attempt at making dresdens and happily will not be my last. I made 42 dresdens in assorted prints and from green varied prints from a charm pack with tumbler and dresden blade templates. The top which fits a double size bed, came together easily plus a bonus at the end. I utilized a blanket stitch to attach the dresden blades, stitch in the ditch, stippling in the 5 inch border with my walking foot attachment. Then I embroidered floral and continuous line motifs with free motion quilting and added some of my sewing machine's decorative stitches. Jenny's ideas and suggestions from start to finish made for a successful journey into dresden sewing. I also had enough for a small tabletop. The spring dresden bouquet can brighten a new day.
