Northwest Grand Adventure

For my grandson's wedding quilt, Missouri Star Grand Adventures pattern seem to fit the bill. He enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and other outdoor activities that the northwest has in great abundance. The quilt size 93” x 90” is a generous size. I selected the digital print Wildwood Way 10 inch layered precut Handpicked Exclusively for MSQC from RJR Studio. The background of light green/white small checked fabric called “Flourish” by Natalia and Kathleen of Piece-n-Quilt from Moda Fabrics. The 20 large blocks 15” x 18” allowed for the beautiful patterns of the fabric to shine. I also added complementary batiks from my stash collection. I embroidered and quilted northwest woodland scenes and designs and I incorporated one of the background blocks with the wedding couple's name and wedding date. Sewed matching pillowcases from the remaining fabrics.
