Square Roots

A friend hosted a garage sale at her lake cabin where she had bins of vintage fabrics for sale. What fun! I assembled most of them in this easy to construct quilt top. I used Jenny Doan's binding and sashing tutorials to complete the quilt. It was the first time that I tried free motion stippling on my domestic sewing machine. But after taking a class at a quilting shop, it gave me the impetus to try it. I gave it to my eighty-eight year old mom who happily cherishes it.
