National Parks

This is the National Parks line of fabric by Anderson Design Group for Riley Blake. The panel is pretty big and I wasn't sure how I could make it my own, so I tried some applique in the four corners. It was fun and I would like to try some more, but I should probably take a class on applique or at least study it more. I learned that your sewing machine needle gets glued shut if you use the heavy heat & bond. I also learned how much I love the walking foot for straight line quilting. This is a Christmas gift for my son-in-law who was an Eagle Scout, loves the great outdoors and is just an all-around fantastic guy! Finished size is 71" x 90"
