STASH BUSTING - Christmas Placemats

My intentions were to make more mug rugs. When I was going through my scrap stash I happen to have 24 pictures of the nativity. Next, I needed to find a border fabric. I do not know how { The Fabric was just too pretty to cut but the only one that matched the color and theme. } but I was able to cut up this fabric for the border. After I sewed the border on, it seemed like these mug rugs needed a frame. Black was the perfect color to unite all the colors of this project. Then I measured my mug rugs 19" X 13 1/2". My mug rugs grew up to be Placemats. I had to cut out new backing and batting. I finished sewing them today. I plan on free motion quilting this project, too. I even look up in my sewing instructions how to drop the feed dogs, {{ no excuses to talk myself out of it. }} FUN, FUN, AND MORE FUN - Quilting. a little pun... Sometimes I think that I should do something else besides sew.. . . . . then I realize how silly I am being and go back to sewing. Thanks for listening and God Bless You.
