Small Asian Throw Quilt

My middle daughter saw a kit for this quilt in one of my magazines. She purchased the kit and I rotary cut all the pieces for her. She stitched all the lantern blocks which make up the quilt border. I assembled the quilt for her, and started the quilting, but we didn't have it quite finished. She wrapped it for her daughter anyway, for Christmas 2012, and we finished the quilting and binding after Christmas. I must say that my daughter did a fine job sewing the lantern blocks! I expect that, in later years, she will come back to quilting and make some wonderful quilts.
