A use for the stash
I was determined to put together a quilt using only materials on hand. This is the result. No trips to a fabric store! I had a package of 5” squares. The top is based on the Ohio Starlight Mini Quilt, but expanded to lap size. I also had a lot of scraps from other projects. I was surprised, and pleased, by the strong diagonal lines. The back was pieced from a few fat quarters. Even the batting was pieced. The back reminds me of a Mondrian painting, though a bit distorted.
