My memory quilt

Here is the final product. I have never made a quilt, but always liked the idea of repurposing special items of clothing. When my husband died, I was left with lots of his dress shirts and decided to make a quilt. He and I spent as much time as we could sailing. I wanted a design that would reflect our times at sea. I watched many of Jenny's tutorials looking for inspiration. I realized that by taking 2 flying geese, one horizontally and the other vertically, I had a sail boat. I used the Quilt in a Day template that Jenny demonstrated. It took me a while but I finally finished it. The quilt top has been sent off to be finished, but here is the photo.
