Pansies and Pinwheels

Several years ago my mother in law gave me a box of unfinished quilt blocks. I put the box up in the top of a closet and immediately forgot about it. (She stopped quilting about 10 years ago as she is losing her vision) A couple weeks ago I came across the box and found these pansy blocks that she had started. Along with the blocks was a pattern she had ordered in the mail...the post mark was from April of 1959. (before I was born!). I decided that these beautiful blocks needed to become part of a quilt....so, I added some pinwheels and hope to finish this and give it to her on Mother's Day. - Updating photo now that I've finished quilting it. Shipping it to her today! (definitely not perfect but I gotter done!)
