My husband and I decided that we would spend Christmas in California with my mother a couple years ago. It had been 25 years since I'd gone home for Christmas and I wanted to give my mother something extra special. I decided that I would try making a simple memory quilt for my mom. This was the first try at it..I used simple blocks and printed the pictures and hand quilted it. My mother was very touched by the gift...many tears.

Made for a special girl friend...I tried to match her living room and family room colors...made for an unusual combination. This was a huge hit (and a lot of sneaking around to get photos from her daughter and husband)...these quilts always seem to bring tears...and so simple to make.
