Buried Treasure

Sometimes its hard to find the perfect fabric for a 13 yr old boy but when I spotted this Layer Cake by Benartex called Buried Treasure, I knew I had to make something for my grandson Austin. I don't recall the name of this pattern but it was very simple using a layer cake sliced once leaving a 6" x 10" rectangle and a 4" x 10" rectangle, then adding a 2 1/2" strip to the top and one side of each rectangle. Alternating the direction of each rectangle created the design.
