A Friendly Kit

A friend of ours asked me to make a quilt kit she received from a friend of hers who had passed away more than 15 years ago. I was reluctant to agree because my quilting experience was minimal at the time but decided to do it anyway. It took me very little time to piece the top but choosing the backing fabric was difficult as the colors were hard to match and I was wary of purchasing fabric online at the time. It took me several months to quilt because I decided to hand quilt hearts in the quilt after machine quilting some of it. Corrine loves the quilt and had a spare room in her house painted to coordinate with her dear friend's quilt kit!
