Halloween table-topper

This started out as practice ... for a halloween quilt I am making ... but I love the way the scraps came together. I made it into a table topper, it is a tribute to my Beautiful Boy ... Nick ... he was a Big Black Cat ... that adopted us .. believe it or not .. on a Halloween night ... we lived out in the country at the time ... Nick's owner our neighbor was gone on vacation .. he came running and howling up the road to get my attention .... if you have never heard a cat howl ... it sounded eerie ... like a baby cry .. When the neighbor got home ... she said we could have him ... she had too many cats !!! (she worked in a vet's office) ..... I couldn't believe it .... he was beautiful and it was love at first sight ... I love that big boy.
