Southwestern Star

When deciding to make a quilt, I usually start with a fabric or collection that I love, then I choose a pattern to match. That is how this quilt started. I loved the colors in the Artisan Spirit Shimmer Sun Glow 2.5" strips. It reminded me of a sunset. When looking at the rest of the collection, I found the Shimmer Fuschia and thought it would make a beautiful southwestern sunset. Next, to find the perfect, but simple, pattern to make my quilt. That is when I saw the Binding Star Quilt Tutorial. That is how this quilt was born.
