It will sparkle in any place she chooses to use it. I used the tutorial by Jenny in cutting and sewing but did make the quilt much larger than Jenny's. Erin loves optical illusions and fell in love with the quilt as soon as I gave it to her. It was backed with a coordinating Wilmington wide backing and the binding was made of strips of left over fabric sewing together to make the colorful, but matching binding. A fine local long arm quilting friend did the quilting for me. She picked out this scenic fabric. I love the wall quilts as they go together pretty quickly By AnnSewOn 41 LIKES | 5716 VIEWS Mountains from my window I am making an Attic Windows quilt for each of my grandchildren for this 2016 birthday. I found a scenic panel that represents their interest and have made it into a wall quilt. I've made two or the mountain scene because two of my four love the mountains. I enjoy doing all the quilting on it to make it unique. I have given away several and have sold a couple to people who had to have one and insisted on paying me for it. It was given as a gift to a friend who was going to be a grandmother...this is her Grandma bag....holds books to read and nice baby treats or needs. My oldest granddaughter is now a nurse and using this, my first bedsize quilt, everyday. She loved the colors in this collection. I chose the Alpine woods 10 inch blocks and made a simple quilt with these prints with sashing and cornerstones and a self designed border of pine trees. A long arm quilting friend chose bears, moose and pines to quilt into the quilt. John loves it. By AnnSewOn 8 LIKES | 1273 VIEWS Wildlife quilt My grandson loves the outdoors and will soon be a graduate of Western Colorado University in Gunnison, CO with a degree in wildlife biology. When I saw the Alpine Woods 10" squares on a Weekly Deal I purchased enough to make the quilt for John. It was perfect with the wildlife prints and the colors are his favorites. It looks very manly in the finished form. I decided to put a border of trees on the top of the quilt to make it unique. I'd seen this idea on a Moda site showing a Christmas quilt. I pretty much designed my own quilt using joining techniques I learned on Jenny's tutorials. By AnnSewOn 5 LIKES | 1163 VIEWS Jenni's college graduation quilt I'd never made a full bed quilt before I started this quilt. I purchased the beautiful Lovely charm squares for it when they were being promoted in MSQC quilt contest. I liked the Falling Charms quilt and used that tutorial to help me on the way to this first quilt. I found a long arm quilter quite close by and she and I have become good friends. I admire her good work and very reasonable prices. Jenni loves her quilt with the label "Made by Grandma Kesler". I made it on my Pfaff sewing machine ....it had been reviewed on a MSQC forum page and I bought it and love sewing quilts on it. By AnnSewOn 11 LIKES | 1313 VIEWS
