I taught myself to quilt in the early 80s, inspired by my grandmother who was a quilter. I started my making dozens of toss pillows using many simple quilt patterns that I copied from magazines. I graduated to baby quilts, wall hangings. I cut pieces one at a time, I learned my first time saving technique that's to Elanor Burns Log Cabin book...and then life got busy. After a 20 year hiatus, I rediscovered quilting again in 2013 when I made a new friend who was a quilter. I joined her guild and started taking classes. It's so satisfying now with time-saving techniques (thanks MSQC), tools and free rein on design. I'm having so much fun!
