My first jelly roll race quilt, made for my niece's wedding. I added 2 other fabrics to break up the purple and used some stash fabric for the back. I appliqued the first initial of their names and embroidered the date of the wedding on the back.

Another jelly roll race quilt, made for my friend Sharon's birthday. When she had her 40th birthday she had a red & black party and although that was a couple of years ago, I thought she'd like this. And I was right she did. In fact she loved the backing fabric almost as much as the jelly roll.

I got this gorgeous Barcelona jelly roll but wanted to try something different, so I started making blocks. The project stalled for a while because I was terrified of making a mistake cutting the blocks to one size, but once I had help doing that, adding the sashing was a breeze. All finished now. Pete chose the fabric for the binding and the thread for the quilting, so it really is his quilt. I'm so proud of this, I could spit!
