My name is Dee,I'm a native of Puerto Rico been in USA for 37 years , i living in Malts NY but home is Texas. I have 2 boys grown and 3 grandkids and one in the way I Travel with my husband for work we have a little dog that travels with us.I love quilting. I called quilting on the road I carry my sewing machine every where we go.Love good music love to read and love summers.

I made this quilt for my sister,she was going through a rough time with the father of her daughters,so one day she made the choice to leave it all behind and left,Today she is very happy with her new husband.I made her this quilt and give to her on Valentines day every year I pull it out of my pictures and post it to tell her I love her very much,

Storm At Sea

Charm Quilt
The making of charm quilts, in which no two pieces are cur from the same fabric, was popular around the turn of the century. One legend associated with the charm quilt says that it should contain exactly 1.000 different fabrics. According to the legend, when a maiden had collected exactly 999, the man she was to marry would appear, bearing the 1000th fabric. I used a few more in order for the quilt to cover my King sized bed.

Origins and Broken Bar
I used Origins Jelly Roll and mixed it with some left over layer cake pieces to make Broken Bar as seen on Jenny's tutorial. If it's easy enough for Jenny's grandson, who doesn't sew, it's a great one for me. I love fast and easy ones that I can finish in a weekend. I also love the masculine looking fabric used in this quilt. I usually make quilts with floral prints so this is a diversion. Thanks for looking, Quilt on Weekend Warriors. . .
