I know this is a simple quilt. I did it in a beginning class using Lady Slipper Lodge material. I'm just a sucker for the combination of purple and green. One of my cats seems to like it as well. I watch Jenny all the time and have learned so much from her. I am very grateful that I found her and Missouri Star Quilt Company. I have never quilted before and just began this in February. I'm afraid I have fallen in love with quilting and have projects galore laying around my spare bedroom just waiting for me to get my butt in gear!

Layer Cake for Great Granddaughter.
This is my second project. It's ready to be labeled and quilted. I'm going to attempt the quilting myself. Even bought a better machine to make it "easier". I've taken a class in freemotion quilting but need to do more practicing before I'll have the courage to tackle it. I'm afraid it'll be rather simple for my first attempt. Luckily the recipient loves pink, so perhaps my clumsy attempt will be forgiven. . .

Father's Day Flag
Made this very quickly for this father's day as a gift for my husband who is retired military. Thank you Jenny for the idea. Now I'm going to try to get one whipped up for the 4th of July for the community center in the retirement community I live in. I'm still struggling with how to finish the binding. I think I'm more anglely challenged than Jenny is! Just can't seem to get it into my head how to do it, even with the tool that guarantees success every time.

The Moose is loose
I made this quilt for my son's birthday. His nickname is moose. I love this fabric collection by Benatrex. I created the pattern and added coordinating fabric to the Benatrex panel from our local quilt shop for this quilt. I also got to do a bit of paper piecing, and free motion quilting - which I am a novice at - but I have to continue to practice free motion quilting.

Slice of Life Baby Quilt
I made this baby quilt for a friend of mine. She sent me a picture of the 5 X 7 rug she was going to use -- 2 shades of blue with white stripes and a pickup truck in the middle. (kind of Pottery Barn looking) I found blue and red pickup truck small print fabric. It was perfect for the accent. Purchased everything in August, baby due in February. Then on a Friday in January I saw on Facebook the mom- to -be posted that the doctor scheduled a c-section for the following Tuesday. I spent the entire weekend sewing. The back is navy blue cuddle/minky fabric. It quilts fantastically. You can see the entire quilting design on the back fabric. PATTERN: MSQC Slice of Life 48" X 64"
