I am enjoying sewing once again after a short break during my career as a mathematics educator. With adult children now grown and off to their own lives, I have a sewing room to myself and lots of projects to finish! Most of my quilts have been given away as gifts to my family as well as to my Quilt Guild. What fun to learn, create and find so many new courses and ideas via online shops and sites.

Finn's Superhero Blanket
My grandson's applique special quilt I'm making him is not done yet (yes, it's been 2 years but I'm stuck) so I made him this cute one with minky until I finish. It's soft and just fits perfectly in his crib.

Scrappy Triangle Quilt
I found this tutorial on Film In The Fridge (filminthefridge.com) and loved the pattern and mixture of colors. It is a good scrap buster because you can use all shapes and sizes. It is straight line quilted like the one on the site. It was a fun project.

Double Crossed
I made this quilt for a gentleman that has recently retired. He moved to South Carolina and promises to send me a photo of himself with it on his lap, in his rocking chair on the front porch. Maybe when the weather is cooler. It is an Amy Smart pattern but it resembles Summer in the Park. I am trying that one next. I did FMQ on my Babylock.
