I'm an engineer that never had an artistic outlet until I happened upon quilting. Now I have an addiction that allows me to use the right side of my brain that was neglected most of my life. I still struggle with color and value but love the math and precision of quilting.

Off The Grid
I've never done a "modern" quilt with negative space and no border. I took the class 'Off The Grid' taught by Lee Heinrich at QuiltCon 2015 to stretch me out of my traditional layout comfort zone. We made the blocks ahead of time and then played with different modern layouts in class.
