OMG!
Here is a Facebook group called OMG quilts and they make organic modern graphic art quilts that are abstract in design. I have trouble with abstract so decided to make my own version of OMG with the meaning being optimize magnificent girl power. Something we all should do :-) the letters OMG are machine appliqued and the wording is free motion quilted with a thick thread. I had a blast free motion quilting the negative white space with feathers, swirls, lines - whatever suited my fancy.

free motion sampler sketchbook cover
I love to free motion quilt. It’s so important to practice a design with pen or sharpie before trying it with thread and I like to keep my practices and free motion ideas together for future quilting. So I got a sketchbook but my poor little sketchbook needed a cover and what better cover than a free motion quilted sampler of designs!

Wedding Quilt for Emily and Kiel
