I am a retired decorator who has been sewing since I was 14 having learned in home economics in school. Now I enjoy learning from Jenny and making many of her quilts. I live in The Villages, FL and have plenty of time for my sewing.

Piece Out, I call mine The Crayon Box
This is for my great grandson. I wanted to have all the colors of the 8 piece box of crayons that we got on our first day of school back in the '50s. I used scraps and pieces I bought so I would have all 8 colors. It was easy to make even though it looks hard. I love the quilts I finish from Jenny's BLOCK magazine and her tutorials on her web page. Keep up the good work and thank you.

Big star quilt

For a Princess
This quilt was made for my best friend's daughter. It is a log cabin with a fussy cut center block with Disney princesses and Tinker Bell and her friends. For the wings of Tinker Bell and her friends I used Glow in the dark thread so when she turned out the lights she got a nice surprise.

Zippered pouch
I made these pouches as Christmas gifts to my friends at work. I got the pattern from the Moda website. They were so easy even though this was my first time sewing a zipper. I did them like an assembly line performing one step at a time. I had fun matching the zippers to the handles. My friends loved them!

Sewing fool
I just bought my first sewing machine last January, and after completing my first quilt, I decided to do a bunch of smaller projects to practice sewing. The wall hanging is a design by Patch Abilities, Inc. Everything else, I just designed myself. The last pic is of an apron I made for my sister in law who loves Halloween. I saw a similar one in a quilt store, but drew out my own design and used my butterick apron pattern.
