I'll be 60 this year and looking to keep busy and have fun. Sewed as a youngster and took out my 1970's Kenmore to give quilting a try. I'm think I'm hooked.

My First Quilt
I started to look at the quilts on pinterest. After a few days I had way to many pinned. So I decided to pull out my 1970's Kenmore machine and give one a try. I have a friend who quilts and she said this one would be great and easy for a beginner. Once I had the top done, I determined I needed a walking foot to quilt the top. That was a very long process, so decided to send it out for quilting.

After I completed my first quilt (I gave it to my sister for Christmas), so decided I needed one for myself. The first was fairly easy, so decided to just repeat it with different fabric. Jelly Roll
Found this very cute jelly roll at the local quilt shop. Bought it then needed to decide what to do with it. Decided to just do an easy strip quilt and give it to my niece for her 14th birthday. I sent it out to be quilted, since I'm still too new to try that out, especially for a gift.
