I am the essential beginner. I don't have a sewing background so it has all been new to me. I'm the turtle in the race of finishing but I only have to please me. I also have been learning to do machine embroidery and applique in the hoop. I am married and we are both retired. My hubby spoils me rotten and he has even learned the serger. He is great at picking colors. I depend on him a lot.
