Flower Pots With Pinwheels Baby Quilt

I needed another baby girl quilt for a Mom at church. I used leftover fabrics and some Robert Kaufman flannel for the backing. The two burp cloths were made with leftovers. This was a fun and quick Project. The flower pots are from one of Jenny's quilt tutorials.

Let's Go Dutch

I was browsing the internet for quilts and came across an antique version of this. I added sashing (looks like eyelet?) and made up the border. I did a little applique on the back...it's annoying to me that quilters are starting to do this...when I'm done with a quilt, I don't want to make a pretty back for it!

Butterflies & Flowers

I actually call this quilt "The Ugly Quilt" It is made from old stash panels which the prints are far outdated but were meant to be pillows. No one has that décor much in homes it is pretty Victorian I think. Anyway wanted to use up that stash and it will be a church bazaar quilt and if not purchased donated to charity. I used Vera Bradley print though for the Borders which is pretty and added a bit of embroidered work of butterflies and hearts and some fancy stitches to other squares too. I tried my best to make it pretty. I actually like the back side of the quilt which is pieced Vera Bradley material prints.

Bear Paws Quilt

This Bear Paw quilt was pieced by me with gradiated fabrics which created beautiful variations of the paws. It was quilted by Julia Quiltoff, who did an awesome job!

Circles and Stars

This quilt is from a kit by American Jane called Twinkle Twinkle. It made up into a small quilt about 28x33. I used a set of American Jane fabric squares and some beige fabric. I had never done prairie points before. I wish there had been some more instruction on putting the quilt together after the top was done because I had to wing it and I wasn't happy with my results. In picture of the quilt, my faithful quilt dog, Sam, is in the background.

My great niece Alice was born just before Christmas. I decided to honor her old-fashioned name with a baby quilt with reproduction prints. I used a disappearing nine-patch block, with some additional borders. Her parents loved it - and she will too.

Oh Canada, Eh?

I wanted to make an Autumn inspired quilt using warm colours and settled on making a maple leaf quilt with colours of the Canadian Flag. I used toned-down reds and beiges, taupes and creams in place of the stark white often seen in the Canadian Flag, to give it a more heirloom look. I couldn't resist using "Eh?" in the title. It is a stereotype for us Canadians, but I really do say it a lot!
