Simple Squares on Point

I watched a tutorial featuring this quilt pattern with Jenny from Missouri Star Quilts and really loved it. I had four sets of charm squares that I had been trying to find the perfect project for. The original pattern called for 10" squares and 2 1/2" strips. I used 5" squares and 1 1/2" strips. I also used 128 squares (8 x 16) rather than the 72 (6 x 12) in the pattern.

Anniversary Quilt

My husband asked me one day why I made so many quilts but had never made one especially for him. I got busy making a quilt for him for our 24th Anniversary. I used Jenny's square in a square tutorial using black and batiks. I backed it with batik turtles and quilted it myself in wavy lines, to mimic water for the turtles.

I Spy Jar Quilt

Wanted to make a play mat for the grandkids...ages 9 mos - 12yrs. We have played I Spy with the older kids for years and thought a big quilt would be a way for the six of them to play together and have the older ones teach the little ones how to play! Kaleidoscope

Slab blocks for Canada 150 Big Quilt Bee (June 201

My guild is participating in Canada's Big Quilt Bee for Canada 150 birthday in June 150. The goal is to make 1000 quilts for Ronald McDonald home for families staying while their child is in hospital. Some are there for months, year. These are to be 'slab blocks' measuring 12 1/2", with one piece of Northcott' and other Canada 150 fabric. I made 12 in about 3 hours. And I will be making more assembled as a quilt.

Ashton's Quilt
