It's been 5 months since I could sit and sew, or for that matter, even turn on my machine. My husband was quite ill and for a time we didn't think he would make it. With the Grace of God, he seems to be getting better. At any rate, I sat down and did one of Jenny Doan's 9 patch. Quilting was done by Ann from Blue House Quilting. Used 100% cotton jelly rolls.
Seen Jenny's tutorial on this pattern. It makes up very easily. Although the only dislike I have was there were too many seams, hard to lay flat. That being said. I used a citrus jelly roll and blue Turquoise for background. The wedding colors were the yellows, oranges, green and blue. This was made for classmates daughter for wedding, May 1, 2021. Just finished the binding yesterday. Mother of bride says it's bright! Said they will love it. It's 90x 90. I stitched the couples name, date and location of wedding in border. I put parents initials also in border along with my name and location. I made my own stencil to use in the circles and border.
Made this quilt for one of my sisters using the Man Sewing Burst Block Template for 10" Squares and tutorial from MSQC. Had a jelly roll of Artisan Batiks in my stash that worked perfect for this quilt. Was to excited to give to my sister, I forgot to take pictures. There appears to be an unmade bed underneath the quilt...oh well.
