I just picked my Batman quilt up from my friend who did a Fabulous job custom quilting it with Bat signal, Gotham City landscape, and comic book sayings, - Kapow, Bam, and zap. I bordered this Batman panel with the 5 inch version of MSQC Big Stars pattern. I origianlly bought this panel to make a quilt for my nephew, but I didn't get the quilt made before his favorite character changed to Spiderman. I made him a Spiderman quilt instead.

Bee Quilt “Warms my Heart”

July 3, 2018 was the anniversary day of cancer free for one year. I received a photo that afternoon of my friend, a cancer survivor, giving a gift to this young lady. Yes, it was the Bee Quilt I had finished. I was asked to make a quilt label saying “New” and the date. This year the the word for her journey is “New”. I was so proud to be a part of the celebration and I will get to meet her on the 15th of this month. Yes, my heart is full and more than ever I feel this is the reason I quilt.

Bee Project VIII & Final

I am so thrilled my high school friend from way back asked if she could purchase the Bee Quilt to give to a cancer survivor. She gave me so many compliments and told me the quilt spoke to her. We can't wait for this brave friend to receive the Bee Quilt!

Aunt Dot's Scotty Disappearing Hourglass quilt

I made this quilt for my friend for her 70th birthday. She was an adopted grandmother for my children. My friend always liked Scotty dogs, so I used Scotty fabric for her quilt.

Colorful Hunter's Star

I made this colorful Hunter's Star quilt for a friend of mine, when she said that she liked this digitally printed fabric collection. I added colorful batiks to it. I like colorful quilts. She has the quilt on her guest bed.

Finally a quilt for us!

It always seems I give away the quilts I make. I was getting teased by my family that our bed was the only one without a homemade quilt, so I decided to make one for my hubby and me. Here it is! It took a while to get home even after it was completed because when I took it to our local quilt shop the owner convinced me to leave it there on display for a couple of months!

A quilt for Wendy's daughter

Earlier I posted a quilt that I gave a friend who has now sadly passed away. This summer I was happy to make a quilt for her daughter who celebrated her 30th birthday and got married on the same day. I loved making this quick quarter quilt by Elanor Burns and am happy with the way it turned out. I particularly liked using the fabric which is Juliette by Penny Rose for Riley Blake.

Tumbler quilt

I made this quilt as a fundraiser for a women's oncology support group, Camp Bravehearts from Albany NY. It raised $500 for the group. It was easy to make and was machine embroidered with leaves and flowers for some extra pazza.
