I have been sewing since I was in the 6th grade.. so so many years ago. I made so many clothing articles for my kids and grandkids... I still do.. but I also enjoy quilting now like I never have before... :) thats about it.. I enjoy my family, and I enjoy sewing quilts... simple...

Weighted quilt for child with autism
I know a little boy who has recently been diagnosed with autism. His therapist suggested that his parents get him a weighted blanket to help comfort and calm him, helping him sleep. The family asked me if I could make one as they could not afford to buy the one the therapist suggested. I watched the Man Sewing tutorial and went to work. This little boy loves Star Wars, so he is thrilled with his new quilt. And, he sleeps much better now, and my heart is full.

Lilies of the Field, Jelly Roll Race 2
I love the fabrics in this jelly roll, and I've been wanting to do a JJR since I first saw Jennie's tutorial. I took it to a Quilt retreat and did the whole top there, and finished the backing and binding when I got home. I have a wonderful long arm quilter who quilts my projects, the quilting on this one is called Soft & Sweet. This one turned out bigger because I added 3 more strips and put 2 borders on it, it measures 68 x 75
