Zuzu's Petals Sashed Half Hexi
I found these fat quarters at the Daytona Beach Quilt Show in May 2016. The fabric sang to me. Frond's Zuzu's Petals by Stephanie Brandenburg. Oh I waited for something special to come along and there it was, from Missouri Star Quilt Company, the tutorial for the Sashed Half Hexi!! I'm going to make a tab top hanging and put it in my office right across from my desk so I can look at it every day! How perfect!

This is an appliqué quilt designed by McKenna Ryan of Pine Needles Studio. I never tried appliqué but using the laser pre-cuts was so much fun. All finished! Beaded, embellished with a secret or two.

Kaley's Memory Wall Hanging 12-25-16
My daughter in law has been missing her grandmother so much so I asked my son to send me pictures of them. I printed on photo paper and sashed with vintage fabric given to me by a friend who's mom had passed. I used some newer fabric to match a Quilt I made Kaley for her B'day last year. She was stunned on Christmas. There were tears but at least for now they were happy tears.

Here Comes Santa
A fun Christmas quilt. Perfect lap blanket, even though decorations have been put away, this remained on the couch! And then I bedazzled it with sequins left over from a Christmas stocking project.

My neighbors were greeting their first grandson. This fabric was in my stash and we live on the beach. Great community. They were so surprised! I gave the baby his new blanket the day after Hurricane Matthew thundered through our shores.

Karen's Memory Quilt
My mother in law passed a couple of years ago after Christmas (she was 104!). I made this quilt from her clothing and gave to my sister in law the following Christmas. The middle pocket held a hair roller that I found in one of her pockets.

Jenny's Double Slice Happy Quilt
I made this quilt for my sister to cheer her up as her husband recently died of cancer, aged 53. I hope that the lovely bright colours make her happy. It has been made with love.

Karen's Disappearing 9Patch
i made this quilt for my friend's 60th birthday. I chose Kaffe Fassett Octopuses Garden as these are her colours. The Disappearing 9Patch is because she and her husband are always disappearing off in their caravan. For the back I chose a fabric that reminded me of seaweed to fit in with Octopuses Garden. She also loves the sea. I free motion quilted this myself. I added plain real green for the centre blocks to make the quilt appear less busy. I did not quilt the plain green squares to make them pop out. I am happy with the result. I hope she is too.
