I decided to try my hand at quilting. My mother in law quilts and thought this could be a fun way to make gifts for my family as well as expressing my creative side. As it was my first quilt, there were a lot of oopsies! Persevering, I pushed through and got done with a lot of help from friends and family.

Ellie’s Quilt
I made this crib quilt for my soon-to-be grand niece. I had enough squares left over to make a small changing pad, which I simply backed with fleece, and a small pillow. I did the pillow envelope style, backed with fleece, so the Cover could be removed and laundered. I used a Tula Pink Bumble layer cake I had in my stash, and since my nephew’s wife hates pink, I used only the greens and blues and backed with a gray alphabet flannel. I hope little Ellie will love it as much as I loved making it!
